About Hooray
Hooray Media is a small independent media company based in Tampa. We publish magazines and websites for parents and couples in Tampa Bay and Orlando.
How we got here
Tampa Bay Parenting published its first issue in 2007 and remains the heart of Hooray Media. Today it publishes monthly in print and every day online. Its annual Back to School Fair began in 2008; the 20th fair will be held in July 2027.
Orlando Date Night Guide has also been publishing since 2007. We acquired it and Tampa Bay Date Night Guide shortly before the pandemic. Orlando Parenting followed in 2023 and added its print magazine in 2024.
We’re still trying new things. Savor Tampa Bay and Kids in the Car are two projects currently in development. And when we build software for our own publishing sites that might be useful to somebody else, we sometimes release that too.
How we work
Our writers live in the communities they cover. They eat at the restaurants, take their kids to the camps and theme parks, attend the events and sit in the same school pickup lines as the people reading. Local knowledge matters to us.
We sell advertising directly across our own publications, newsletters and events.
